Two letters from Sr. Mary Monica, Convent of Mercy, Cobh addressed to Arthur Shields and Christine Shields respectively. She writes to Arthur Shields that she saw Barry Fitzgerald in a film for the first time, she continues 'I hired the film as a treat for a Sodality of 170 poor girls of whom I have charge. The sisters, of course, got a look also as only a few of them had seen 'Going My Way'.

Telegram from Arthur and Laurie Shields addressed to Christine Shields, 14 Hyde Park Ave, Blackrock, County Dublin. The message reads 'Cheers love on your own first nights not just Monday but especially Saturday' The telegram was sent on the occasion of the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to the Abbey players who had taken part in the 1916 rising.
