Typescript thesis completed by Etienne Rynne and submitted for the Travelling Studentship in Archaeology in September 1956. Entitled "Irish Iron Weapons of the Pre-Norman Time". Some letters and photographs are inserted between the leaves of the thesis. The letters date from 1966 to 2005 and are written and/or received by Rynne and where information was checked within the thesis for others.
