Assignment of Hugh McShean Oge O Kenedy of Portolloghan, County Tipperary and his son John Oge O Kenedy, to John Hearne of Gortnefehi, in consideration of the sum of £10, give one half of the ploughland of Craigg, one third of the half ploughland called Gortine, and one half of the quarter of Bohermuirgh, all in the townland of Portolloghan, in the parish of Coshen, in County Tipperary.
Assignment of legacies held by various parties dating back to the will of Peter Daly of Clooncagh, Co Galway, dated 17 March 1792 and charged on his estates, so that these lands could be sold in the Encumbered Estates Court to Denis Lord Dunsandle. Contains many genealogical details relating to the Daly family of Clooncagh. A final decree of 21 Jan 1846 ordered that about 369 acres of the lands of ‘Clorovan’ [Clogharevaun] and Killarriv, in the barony of Athenry, were to be sold. Assignment of mortgage, Hon and Rev Thomas St Lawrence, Dean of Cork and Emma Coghlan, Cork, spinster (1), Thomas Wilton, Dublin, esq and Jane (nee Kelly) his wife and William Phibbs Irwin, Dublin, esq and Ann Honoria (nee Kelly) his wife (2) to Gerard Macklin, Dublin, esq (3). Recites mortgage deed of 21 May 1776, Jane Kelly, widow of John Kelly of Fidaun, Co Galway, William Lynch of Dublin, esq and Edmond Kelly, heir apparent of Jane, to James Frazer of Dublin, barrister whereby a loan of £ 1,500 was secured by the mortgage of lands in the half barony of Lough rea. After James Frazer's death, his interest became vested in the 2 daughters of the Rev Henry Coghlan, 'Killegally', Kings Co, Frances Coghlan wife of Thomas St Lawrence and Emma Coghlan. The Kelly interest became vested in William Lynch and after his death in Jane Wilton and Ann Irwin. By the time of this deed a sum of £ 1,884 was owing on the original mortgage, Gerard Macklin agrees to pay £ 1,100 and to be a trustee for the balance and the securities of the mortgage are assigned to him. Deed of assignment of lands, houses and chattels in the Barony of Carra, co Mayo, leased to Mary Semple's father James Masden (Marsden?) by Charles L Fitzgerald for three lives, her own and her two brothers John and James, June 1792. Lands, houses etc. held by her husband Charles from Lord Lucan. Parties are (1) Mary Semple of Turlough, Co Mayo, widow; (2) Thomas Ormsby of Knockmore and John Ormsby of Lakeland, trustees of the will of Charles Semple; (3) William Semple of Turlough, son of Mary. Witnesses are George Ormsby, James Lister and Dennis Murray.
