Josten encloses multiple items with his letters, such as copies of Abbey and parish newsletters, press cuttings, material and pamphlets, images of former Carmelite order members and related objects in discussion around the history of the Abbey.
File 4 contains further correspondence with assorted individuals regarding investigations and archaeological work at St. Mary's Abbey and includes letters from Senator Jim Higgins; P.J. Morley T.D.; Also copy minutes of the conservation committee of Ballinasmalla Abbey (St. Mary's).
