Including organisations Macra na Feirme (Ballinasloe), Gael-Linn, and branches of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann; letter outlining trade union status of the Association of Irish Traditional Musicians (17 and 30 December); Gael-Linn specifying songs only in Irish and no old-time dances (17 December); letter from Loughrea Comhaltas branch stating the band's terms are not acceptable (30 December).

Including booking for the CCE fleadh held in Birr (20 June); an advertisement for Patricia Coughter, ballad singer (9 June Castlebar) as a potential 'guest artiste'; letter from S. O'Connor (Ballymacelligott 24 June) commenting on their performance in Ballyheigue and advising on how to improve the band (e.g. additions of saxophone and of female vocalist); invitation from An tOireachtas (Dublin 28 July) to participate in their competitions. Also including letter from James O'Neill (New York 18 July) asking whether the band had reached an agreement with Costello; promising to seek legal action over the multi-artist record produced by him.

Performance venues include the "Garda Benevolent Fund Dance" (Inverin 25 January), the Macra na Feirme "Public Speaking and Concert" (Gort 6 February). Including correspondence from Peggy Carty (7 January, 2 February Galway) organising shows in Galway during Lent; invitation to Joe Burke from Patrick Griffin 'Irish celebrity tenor' (Dublin 21 February) to join him on a tour of Scotland in March. Including also a description (undated) of the Hibernian Ballroom, Parnell Square, Dublin.
