Transcript of an interview with Arthur Shields, transcript takes the format of the speakers name followed by what he or she said. Speakers include 'Shields', 'Mrs. Shields', 'Gan', '2nd Interviewer' and 'Mrs Shields'; 'Gan' was the principal interviewer. The interview relates primarily to Shields career at The Abbey, most of his reminiscences have been extracted in T13/A/394. There is some discussion of the possibility of Arthur and Laurie Shields working on a book about Arthur's career in the Abbey. Laurie Shields is quoted as saying 'It's a period that Arthur, with his terrific recall, is possibly one of the few people left who has access to the "back story" - the story the front - the one that's in the pages of the books that are available now. And if he owes it to no one else - he owes it to his daughter, his son and his grand-children.'
