Two letters from The Lord Killanin (Michael Killanin) of Sextant Films Limited. In one letter dated 26 June 1964 and addressed to J.J. O'Leary of Cahill and Co., Parkgate Street. Killanin writes the he understands that 'Boss is on his way over on a Swedish steamer...Jack[John Ford] is quite anxious that I should discuss with him the possibility of Boss being used as dialogue director and also playing a small but important part in Young Cassidy.' In the other letter dated 30 June 1964 and addressed to Arthur Shields, at the Montclare Hotel, Clare St., Dublin 2, Killanin writes that John Ford is anxious for Arthur Shields to play the part of 'Charlie Ballinoy' in 'Young Cassidy'.

Two letters from Sr. Mary Monica, Convent of Mercy, Cobh addressed to Arthur Shields and Christine Shields respectively. She writes to Arthur Shields that she saw Barry Fitzgerald in a film for the first time, she continues 'I hired the film as a treat for a Sodality of 170 poor girls of whom I have charge. The sisters, of course, got a look also as only a few of them had seen 'Going My Way'.

In letter dated 22 May 1964, O'Leary informs Shields that he has booked 3 double rooms in the Mont Clare Hotel for him on the nights of the 1st and 2 July 1964.
