Letter from James A Grant in which he writes of a newspaper article in "The Independent" about Aran and 'referring very specially to the company'. Sir Henry Bellew and Father Farragher have both praised the services of the company but hope the Company will make better provision for the transport of cattle next year. Includes references to the health of Sir George Morris and Mrs Miller [wife of John Miller, shareholder], mackerel fishing and a proposal to run a steamboat to Kinvara for the races.

Letters from E and G Stapleton, solicitors, 29 Molesworth St, Dublin, to John Wilson Lynch, relating to the financial affairs of Eddie Stapleton and to the administration of his effects by John Wilson Lynch. Eddie Stapleton was the son of John Wilson Lynch's sister Ellen, who married Edward Stapleton, solicitor in 1855. The first letter is from Mary Jane Lynch.

Letter from M[ary] J[ane] Lynch, 43 Medela Four, Passy, Paris, describing her astonishment that 'we four are the sole heirs to poor dear Eddie's property, in case no will be found'. She and Fanny approve of him taking out administration and she wants the Miss Geoghegans to inherit the property without any deductions. She refers to G[eorge] Stapleton having agreed to pay Eddie £300 per annum on succeeding to "poor Edward's business". She has had masses said for Eddie.

He asks if he agrees to take out this bond. Includes copy of letter from the National Guarantee Co.

Letters from George Morris, while travelling abroad in 1894, 1899 and 1900. George Morris visited John Wilson Lynch to accompany him, his wife, and daughter Julia, on their trip in 1894, but he was unable to go. George Morris became seriously ill in Athens, Greece in April 1899, and returned home via Marseilles, Paris and London. John Wilson Lynch apparently accompanied George Morris as far as Rome in 1900 but then had to return home. 4 letters are from George Morris' Dublin address, 48 Leeson Street.
