Copy of Probate of Lieut. Col. Anthony Ormsby of Ballinamore and Gloucester St., Dublin, granted to Ann Ormsby of Grenville St., widow and executor. Includes copy will which mentions his sons Thomas, Anthony and John Yeadon; John Walsh, foster-father to his son Thomas; Nurse Sheeran; Nurse Cassidy; his wife Ann and his sister Sarah, wife of Charles Phibbs. 1 codicil same date as will. Executors are his wife Ann and brother Adam. No witnesses noted. Note of 17 Sept 1822 John Mills sworn declaration of Anthony Ormsby's handwriting.

Letters of administration for will of Anne Ormsby (attached), spinster of Knox St., Sligo granted to Peter Ormsby, son of Thomas Ormsby and nephew of Anne Ormsby. She died 12 Jan 1830. Will states her wish to be buried in graveyard of Sligna, mentions her brother Adam; Peter Ormsby's daughter Anne and her younger sister; her nephew Kitt; Bess Ormsby of Knockmore; Mrs Supple and Mrs Brew. Mr Phibbs to look after her will. Witnesses Marcus Supple, Thomas Cockson, George Dawson. Date of will 15 Sept 1824.

Duplicate will of Anthony Ormsby of Ballinamore in which he leaves his estates to his brother John Yeadon Ormsby and his issue. Trustees and executors are Richard Owen Armstrong, 5 Clifton Terrace, Monkstown, Co. Dublin and Mark Perrin of Knockdrummin, Rush, County Dublin. Witnesses are W.J. Davidson solr., Dublin and Richard O. Longfield, solr., Dublin. Three codicils: in the first he leases £1500 in trust for Edward Walshe born March 1854, educated at Santry and Kingstown schools, a medical student of 16 York St., Dublin; in a second he leaves £300 to Sibby Sheeran, daughter of Anthony Sheeran of Ballinamore, deceased; both these codicils are the same date as the will. The third is dated 12 March 1881 and allows the sale of his real estate.

Two sets, each containing seven rolls of quit rent receipts for lands belonging to the Ormsby family in County Mayo. Give the name of the payee on Ormsby's behalf and the rent collector's name. In 1810-4 the collector was Charles O'Malley. Some give individual changes by townland.
