Letter is typed on Harvard University headed paper, Department of English and American Literature and Language. Letter includes an apology to Jennings from Heaney as he will be unable to attend the Galway Arts Festival in August as he will be 'incommunicado, on holiday, playing possum generally out of commission'. Typescript letter from Joe Dowling, Artistic Director of the National Theatre Society Limited, The Abbey Theatre, to Ollie Jennings, Galway Arts Festival, 13 St. Mary's Terrace, Taylor's Hill, Galway. Dowling thanks Jennings for the tickets to performance of 'King Lear' by Footsbarn Theatre Company. Dowling describes the show as 'undoubtedly one of the highlights of my theatre-going life.' He further praises the production and states he hopes to return to see the production of 'Chinese Puzzle'. Photocopy of letter is included. 2 pp.
