File 2 Includes planning documents, press releases about the commemoration programme, a draft schedule and calendar of events, "The Northern Irish Civil Rights association (NICRA) - A History; outline for 1968 Commemoration: Production of DVD; manuscript annotations on above documents by Logue; emails between Logue and Michael Farrell re. Thomas Kilroy was formally connected with The National Theatre Society Ltd (The Abbey Theatre) as a Play Editor from 1977 to 1978, and as Writer-in-Association from 1998 to 1999. Most of his plays were first produced by the Abbey Theatre, but correspondence strictly relating to a play is found in the corresponding production file. The series comprises files deriving from these two periods of collaboration and beyond, documentation of a petition Kilroy and Brian Friel drew up in 1997, as well as printed records collected by Kilroy for information on the Abbey's management and work.

Files relating to Doolan's term as Artistic Director of the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, beginning in 1971, and to 1973, and to wider Abbey Theatre related material thereafter.

The files relate primarily to Kevin's teaching at Queen's University Belfast, University College Galway, La Trobe University, Australia, Yale University, U.S.A., Essex University, U.K and other institutions. The files include personal and professional correspondence, teaching materials and research, conference files and other related records.

A range of material accessioned into the John McGahern Collection, divided into literary and personal papers. The literary material relates mainly to "The Power of Darkness" and "Amongst Women", consisting of a small number of drafts and a number of press reviews. The personal material includes school reports, some material from his time in England, as well as a large amount of material commemorating John's life.

Account of 'the Garbally rents' of William Thomas Keating Trench with expenses paid out. The receipt of rents from some tenants in Co Galway and Co Roscommon amounted to £405.9.1 and £409.16.0 and was received for the tolls and customs for the cattle fair at Ballinasloe and the settlement of various accounts, including that of the apothecary and the saddler. The agent who collected the rents charged £6.16.6 for his attendance and for his expenses going to and from Garbally.
