Holograph letter from Bevill Grenvile, Stow, [England], to Lord Earl [Richard Boyle] of Cork, Stalbridge [Dorset], apologising for not having followed the attorney's summons to meet him for pressures of business, and protesting his innocence over delayed payment of a certain sum. Explaining that he depends on a gentleman who owes him for "Lundey", and referring to a previous such case where "a greate Lord in this Kingdome" delayed payment also. Further commenting on his father's business which he had little hand in and lost out in himself; the agents regretted his action; referring to problem between Mr Harris and his father.
