Final pleadings of the applicant in the Hamsa Çiçek case. The pleadings note the discrimination that Mrs Çiçek faced during the process due to being a monolingual Kurdish speaker and notes that Kurdish is the sole language spoken by a significant proportion of Turkish citizens. The pleadings also state that 'The denial by the security forces that anyone was held in the Lice regional boarding school, when it was a matter of common knowledge that it was used as a detention and torture centre, is evidence of a collective attempt by those forces to conceal what happened there.' The applicant requests the Commission to find all of the violations claimed by the applicant, to draw up a report, and to refer the case to the European Court of Human Rights. Attached are receipts for mailing the pleadings to the Commission.
