Scope and content
Galway Arts Festival Parade. Black and white photographs taken during the staging of the annual Galway Arts Festival parade. The images feature scenes along the parade route that includes floats and costumes from Macnas performance group and other participating groups. Also includes close up portrait shots of individual members and characters in full costume in the parade. Large crowds can be seen witnessing the parade. Photographers are named as Aengus McMahon and also C. Briscoe. Images range in size from 131mm X 203mm 203mm X 254mm and include a white border.
