Materials originally placed in sleeves at the front of the main casefile binders, mainly pertaining to the applicant's pleadings on the merits of the case. Materials include: typed summaries of the İzzet Çakıcı application and of the Government's observations on the application; İzzet Çakıcı's declarations of means; the 17 February 1997 statement of Hikmet Aksoy; the applicants' pleading in the case submitted 1 July 1997; and a list compiled by the Human Rights Foundation of deaths that occurred in Turkish prisons of persons under detentions between 1980 and 1995 which was used as an appendix to the pleadings (faded to near-illegibility; see version in pleadings).
