Letter from Frederick Trench, Heywood [Ballinakill, Co. Laois] to Thomas Ormsby of Ballinamore, Co. Mayo. The page is headed confidential and he writes to request Thomas to enquire if a "letter or parcel be left for me either at the post office or coach office Castlebar ... as a packet sent by my father is missing ... in searching my father's papers I have found a lease of Knockneskeagh granted in 1662 for 99 years at £3.10.0 ... I have found a letter and papers relation to the suit of which you spoke to me at Castlebar - and find that my great grandfather was non-suited and the lawyers having retained by the Jordans - just as you told me - I should not trouble you this letter but that I know you are stationary and your son George is a wanderer ... and I trust that in spring or summer I shall have the pleasure of seeing you again ..."
