Scope and content

Forensic analysis of the post-mortem records of the body of Agit Salman, including autopsy records and expert reports from Dr Derrick J Pounder of the University of Dundee (solicited by the applicant) and Professor Stephen Cordner of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Coronial Services Centre (solicited by the Commission). Materials currently available include the export report of Dr Pounder, who examined all available post-mortem medical records and witness testimony pertaining to the body of the deceased Agit Salman. Pounder states that Salman's history of heart disease combined with what appears to have been a heavy blow likely induced a sudden death in conflict with the testimony of the police officers, and that the autopsy investigations and investigations of the prosecutor were incompetent.
