File of correspondence between Brian Friel and Pearse and Mary O'Malley, mainly in relation to the staging of his plays in the Lyric Theatre. Includes two signed programmes of The Enemy Within (September 1963). He describes his worries at an opening night in Dublin: 'before it went on, nobody could assure me that it could stand up. My sweat on opening night was mighty!' (18 November 1964). Also includes a letter discussing his proposed editorship of Threshold (17 May [1966]).
