The subfiles in this file are equivalent to Tabs 1 through 6 in the Essex team's filing system. Correspondence originally placed in Tab 1 was later moved by the legal team to its own separate file. Tabs 7 and 8 ('Timetable for hearings in Ankara, 18-23 November 1996' and 'Translation of custody record terms') were listed in the original table of contents but not created; Tab 8 was evidently subsumed into Tab 10 of File 2 (A44/43/1/57/2/2).
