Letterfax signed by Aisling Reidy on behalf of Françoise Hampson, Kevin Boyle, and Osman Baydemir to Herbert Petzold, Registrar, European Court of Human Rights. The fax is marked 'URGENT' and contains information regarding another request from the Derik Chief Public Prosecutor to Şükran Aydın to attend a medical examination in İstanbul. The prosecutor informed Baydemir that the instructions he received to make the request were from the Foreign Ministry. The letter states that 'the applicant's legal representatives have deep and genuine concerns about the motivation in requiring the applicant to undergo this examination and the effect which it is having her.' It concludes by stating the Turkish Government is once again violating Article 25 of the European Convention on Human Rights by continuing to interfere with the applicants. Attached is a copy of Baydemir's fax to the Kurdish Human Rights Project of 9 May 1997 (in Turkish with English translation) detailing these events
