Documents regarding a statement given by Zübeyde Dulaş via an interpreter to the Diyarbakır public prosecutor on 10 October 1995 but which was not provided by the Turkish Government to the European Commission on Human Rights and was not submitted to the European Court of Human Rights until 11 May 2000. In the statement, Dulaş maintained her initial claims but is recorded as stating that she believed that her application was going to Ankara to claim her rights and 'did not want to start a case in Europe in the way that [the public prosecutor] had explained and did not agree to foreign lawyers starting such a case.' This statement would subsequently be refuted by Dulaş.
