Compilation of documents (see A44/43/1/6/2/2 for individual copies) pertaining to domestic court proceedings in the case against Major Aytekin Özen and Master Sergeant Ercan Günay submitted by the Turkish Government to the European Commission of Human Rights along with the Government's observations (A44/43/1/6/2/2/1) in response to the application submitted by Eshat Aktaş. The documents show the repeated delays and decisions of non-jurisdiction from various courts, minutes of the hearings held in Mardin Assize Court (Mardin Serious Penalty Court No. 2) on the case, the decision to acquit the defendants, and the rejection of Eshat Aktaş's appeal. The sub-file consists of: an index of documents numbered 41 through 59 showing the creator, subject, and date of each document; English-language transcriptions of each document by number; and photocopies of the original Turkish-language documents by number.
