Correspondence authored, received, and/or compiled by Kevin Boyle, Aisling Reidy, and Françoise Hampson pertaining to the Taş case. The correspondence is with the European Commission of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights, the Kurdish Human Rights Project, and the Diyarbakır-based legal team members. Notable items within this correspondence accessible to the public include: Hampson and Boyle’s letter of 7 June 1994 introducing the application; letters which accompanied documents and observations submitted on behalf of the applicants; requests on behalf of the applicant for extensions of document submission deadlines; Beşir Taş’s statement of 20 January 1996 (submitted 25 April 1996); correspondence pertaining to the 17 January 1996 and 4-9 May 1998 case hearings including lists of proposed witnesses; Beşir Taş’s 11 May 1998 declaration of means; the Commission’s 30 October 1999 referral of the case to the Court; the Court’s letter of 19 October 2000 informing that a judgment has been adopted; and correspondence pertaining to the payment of the judgment.
