Correspondence authored, received, and/or compiled by Françoise Hampson, Aisling Reidy, and Kevin Boyle pertaining to the Hayriye Kişmir case. The correspondence is with the European Commission of Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights. Notable items within this correspondence accessible to the public include: letters which accompanied documents and observations submitted on behalf of the applicants; the letter of 31 March 1995 introducing the application; the Turkish Government’s letter of 7 March 1997 informing that the investigation into Aydın Kişmir’s death by the Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor’s office was concluded with a decision of non-lieu based on lack of evidence against the accused police officer (CLOSED UNTIL 2073/11/01); documents submitted on 28 May 1999 by the Turkish Government pertaining to the investigation into Aydın Kişmir’s death including an autopsy and post-mortem examination; the Government’s letter of 6 October 1999 forwarding a legible copy of Aydın Kişmir’s autopsy; and Hampson’s letter of 3 March 2000 informing the Court that she and Boyle are withdrawing as legal representatives in the case.
