Correspondence authored, received, and/or compiled by Sheldon Leader, Kevin Boyle, and Françoise Hampson pertaining to the Buldan case. The correspondence is with the European Commission of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Kurdish Human Rights Project. Notable items within this correspondence accessible to the public include: letters which accompanied documents and observations submitted on behalf of the applicant; the notice provided by Leader, Boyle and Hampson on 21 May 1998 that Savaş Buldan was killed by agents of the State as per the Susurluk Report; requests from the applicant's representatives requesting extensions for document submissions; letters from the Court requesting information from the applicant’s representatives and accordant letters of acknowledgment of receipt; and letters from the Court which accompanied submitted documents and observations received from the Government.

Correspondence and associated materials within the file that were created by either the European Commission of Human Rights or the Government of Turkey, as well as all materials pertaining to friendly settlement negotiations, are not permitted to be accessed until 1 November 2073.
