Black and white photographs with one colour photograph taken during the Galway Arts Festival parade held in Galway City. Images range in size from 150mm X 115mm and 252mm X 203mm and also include a white border around the images. Pictured are various scenes of the parade making its way through crowded Galway city streets. The parade features the work of performance group Macnas. The theme of the parade is 'City of Tribes'. Galway Arts Festival Artistic Director, Trish Forde, is pictured in costume riding on a wooden cart with other figures, an image of Padraic Breathnach, lying on his side, smiling and facing the camera, Breathnach with masked parade performers, Breathnach walking on river bank, wearing 'Macnas' t-shirt and other various parade scenes. Photographer is named as Cyril Briscoe. Notes and comments are often written in manuscript on reverse of images.
