Application of Nejdet Buldan submitted to the European Commission of Human Rights to pursue a case against Turkey regarding the alleged kidnapping and murder of his brother, Savaş Buldan, by undercover Turkish authorities and the subsequent alleged failure to carry out an effective and adequate investigation into his brother’s death. Appendices (in Turkish with English translation) to the application include: a statement regarding the case made by the applicant on 12 September 1994; newspaper articles from Turkish newspapers covering the Savaş Buldan murder, and Nejdet Buldan's letter to the Commission authorising Kevin Boyle and Françoise Hampson as his legal representatives.
