Application of İhsan Bilgin submitted to the European Commission of Human Rights to pursue a case against Turkey regarding the destruction of his house and property by Turkish gendarmerie on 28 September 1993. Appended to the application are: the statement of the applicant telling of the destruction of much of the village of Güzderesi Including residents' crops), the beating of residents, and the destruction of Bilgin's house and property; photographs depicting the ruins of Güzderesi and the destruction of village houses; the statement of resident Hüsnü Eraslan to the Human Rights Association; and an 18 October 1993 newspaper article depicting the visit of British parliamentarians to southeast Turkey to meet with Kurdish victims of oppression.
