Text of the pleading by Kevin Boyle on behalf of the applicants in the Akdeniz and others case at the merits hearing. Boyle confirms the spelling of Hüseyin Akdivar's surname and clarifies the difference between fellow applicant Ahmet Çiçek and his cousin, also named Ahmet Çiçek, who was not an applicant but still a witness. Boyle seeks to establish that destruction of villages in southeast Turkey has been a Turkish Government policy and that Akdivar and Çiçek had been coerced into signed false statements (see A44/43/1/2/1/3/3) by the Government.
