Reply of the applicant to the documents and observations submitted by the Turkish Government in the Yaşa case between April and July 1995 and to questions posed by the European Commission of Human Rights with pertinence . The first reply, submitted 7 September 1995, states that the Government's evidence confirms that the attack on Eşref Yaşa was aprt of a pattern of attack on Kurds who are considered to by sympathetic to Kurdish issues, and that the Government refuses to investigate the possibility that State agent committed the attack. The reply concluded by asking the Commission to continue its investigation and fact-finding in the case. The second reply, submitted 21 September 1995, states that there is a pattern of attacks targeted against journalists, vendors, and distributors of Özgür Gündem and that the State has an obligation to address this pattern, which it has failed to do. Attached are appendices containing articles and statements regarding harassment of Özgür Gündem personnel, including a detailed list of incidents of harassment and violance against said personnel during 1993.
