Autopsy report (in Turkish with English translation) for Yakup Aktaş produced by Şevki Artar, Mardin State Prosecutor, which failed to establish a cause of death. Artar notes that 'Today at around 19.30 he was under my observation at the Investigation and Interrogation centre when he was suddenly taken ill and brought to the Mardin State Hospital and here I was informed that he had died.' No signs of trauma were reported other than heavy bruising across the upper arms and an 8 cm scar above the right scapula.
