Scope and content

Files of scripts relating to a play written by Niall Sheridan, "A Dog's Life", with script edited by Carolyn Swift and produced by Chloe Gibson for RTÉ. Early draft of script carries a cover note of being adapted for television by Philip Rooney.

File 1 includes final broadcast script with cover page of cast and production crew list; a broadcast schedule for RTÉ drama in 1971/1973; carbon copy of letter by Swift to [Sheridan] outlining her work on the script, then called in an early draft "Seven Men and a Dog".

Files 2-4 includes further typescripts at final broadcast phase and of earlier draft scripts of the play, all heavily annotated by hand and edited by Carolyn Swift.
