Correspondence and associated papers relating to Freyer's work as a medical consultant during World War I, to the Indian hospitals at Brighton and to all the hospitals in the Sussex district from March 1916. The correspondence is between Freyer and the Director General Army Medical Service and concerns Freyer's appointments as an honorary consulting surgeon; the establishment of a genito-urinary department at the Queen Alexandra Military Hospital, Millbank, London; his proposed visit to France in 1918 and his temporary duty with the British Army on the Rhine in Aug 1919. The associated papers include lists of medical staff at some of the hospitals and information relating to beds and diet.
