Scope and content

This subseries relates to the work of Timirí [organisers] who travelled all over Ireland establishing and organising branches, giving lectures, forming night classes and encouraging native speakers to value their language and culture. It includes organisers’ reports, instructions, agendas and contracts. While most reports predominantly date from the 60s and 70s, earlier reports also exist.
Files G60/2/1/1 to G60/2/1/23 are in alphabetical order based on the organisers’ Irish surname; files G60/2/1/24 to G60/2/1/28 consist of multiple organisers’ reports grouped together, or cover certain geographical areas (Kerry, Donegal and Clare); G60/2/1/29 to G60/2/1/36 consist of job applications, contracts, instructions, working plans and minutes.
