Scope and content
Abstracts and transcripts pertaining to the Thompson-Mullen letters, a set of 22 letters written between 1868 and 1930 from New York and Philadelphia by members of the Thompson and Mullen families back to their relatives in County Derry. The series also includes biographical notes and census data pertaining to the families, and correspondence between Kerby A. Miller and researcher Stephen J. Sullivan attempting to gather information on the families.
Of these letters, Kerby A. Miller selected six for transcription:

-Charles, now in Brooklyn, to his aunt Nell, 28 December 1883 and 8 December 1884;
-Joseph Thompson in Philadelphia to his parents and to sister Maggie, both ca. 1900;
-William Thompson in Philadelphia to his brother Robert, 4 March (1915?).
