Scope and content

Letter from Thomas Ormsby, Ballinamore, son of Anthony Ormsby and his first wife Rebecca Elwood,, to Christopher Ormsby, 16 Upper Rathmines, Dublin, writing that he is very annoyed with his uncle, who is obviously prevaricating about becoming a trustee for the children of Peter Ormsby, after the death of Adam Ormsby, "... my uncle John's refusal was in consequence of his state of health and mine because I thought that Lloyd or some person who would have influence over the parties should have the management of their affairs ... I must now say I feel greatly annoyed at your going to Mr. Mills on this ... I now beg you will call on Mills on receipt of this and direct him to put your name down and for God's sake let the business be settled without further delay ..."
