Telefax typescript letter signed by Eberhard Spiecker, barrister/ notary, Duisburg, Germany, to Albert Reynolds TD, Dáil Éireann: his wish concerning Róisín McAliskey was passed on to the Federal Chancellor; Spiecker has doubts that the talks organised for tomorrow with a representative of Sinn Féin will bring a solution. Quoting from an earlier correspondence he sent to Sinn Féin, regarding the IRA's position paper, and in particular three points that need addressing in the case of a new ceasefire (political prisoners abroad, emergency legislation, policing), but also decommissioning and an amnesty for prisoners.
