Scope and content
Copy of 'Emigration from Ulster to the United States of America', which provides a history of the Stavely family of County Antrim, many of whom emigrated to the United States, during the early-to-mid-19th century. The document is a report compiled by a 1977-1978 adult class organised by the Department of Extra-Mural Studies in Queen's University, Belfast, who embarked on a study of emigration from Ulster to the United States between the 1798 Rebellion and the American Civil War. The class used the Stavely family papers deposited in PRONI as the base of their case study.
