Una M. Lavery, niece of Andrew Montgomery, donated this transcription to Kerby A. Miller per her letter of 16 January 1988. Lavery created transcribed copies of the letter for Miller and Montgomery family members based upon the original manuscript held by her cousin, Thomas Montgomery of Belfast.
