Materials sent by Mary Nolan of Dublin to Kerby A. Miller, including a letter from her uncle, S.M. Byrnes, describing his mid-19th century journey to the United States, and a picture of the Byrnes family. Byrnes and his sisters eventually settled in California. Also included is a letter from Nolan to Miller accompanied by miscellaneous Irish and religious-themed clippings, including a Saint Patrick's Day postcard regarding Irish partition.
