Correspondence between the Essex team and Reyhan Yalçındağ, Diyarbakır-based lawyer associated with the Diyarbakır Branch of the Human Rights Association (İHD) who was the local representative for a large number of Kurdish applicants to the European Commission of Human Rights. Some correspondence with other Diyarbakır-based lawyers such as Osman Baydemir, Sezgin Tanrıkulu, Cihan Aydın, Sedat Aslantaş, and Metin Kalivaz is also present. The Diyarbakır lawyers provided the on-the-ground Turkish legal expertise for the project and face-to-face representation for applicants. Correspondence topics include: information and document preparation pertaining to individual cases; payments of awarded legal fees to be divided between the Essex team, the Diyarbakır team, and the Kurdish Human Rights Project; and the working relationship between the Essex team and the Diyarbakır team.
