The transcript was created for Kerby A. Miller by Sgt. Robert Maher of Holycross, County, Tipperary in August 1978 following an appeal for letters by Miller placed in the Garda Review, June 1978. Mrs Kitty Crowe of Ballyvoneen, Thurles, cousin of the author and owner of the manuscript, consented to its use.
