Red leather wallet made by A Webster and Co, 43 Dover St, London W, inscribed 'King Edward VII's Hospital for Officers' and containing a note during the War of 1914-1919 Agnes to 'my kind friend' [Peter Freyer] with 'an exact copy of a nice letter from the King' dated 11 Jan 1909. On the back of the note she writes 'I am having a nice case made for the letter'. Includes a list of the Honorary Medical Staff of the hospital for the 5 years from 1 Jan 1904, including Peter Freyer [and his qualifications, see P57/386]. Also a letter from Sister Agnes, King Edward VII's Hospital for Officers, 17 Grosvenor Crescent, SW1, to Major [Dermot] Freyer expressing her shock on hearing of 'my old friend's death' and asking for the return of her billiard table if it is 'not wanted' (11 Sept [1921]).
