              TS letter circulated to members of the People's Democracy and written by J. McGuffin. Letter opens with "Recently some people in the P.D. have been worried about the way the P.D. seems to be drifting..." and discusses "Why the P.D. must reject elitism" [within its ranks], and mentions examples of Cuba and Russia where revolution has had mixed results in providing a changed society for all members. "The P.D. must learn from history and avoid the mistakes of the past" and avoid having an elitism within its ranks and within its Executive Committee.

              Letter from Viklund to Boyle, saying he (Viklund) belongs to a Swedish independent socialist group called Unga Filosofer (Young Philosophers) and saying he recently met Bernadette Devlin on a recent visit in Sweden and Viklund was given Boyle's name and also Eamon McCann's to make contact to learn more about "the economical situation in Ulster, the political aims of the socialist part of the Civil Rights movement and your attitudes to Great Britain, Eire and movements like [the] IRA."
