Files relating to the initial plans and efforts of Prof. Kevin Boyle to establish an Irish Centre for the Study of Human Rights at University College Galway. These files were arranged and labelled by Prof. Boyle as relating to the attempts to raise the profile and fundraise for such a Centre at UCG. The files may overlap in places with similar efforts by Boyle and others at UCG at this time to develop the Law Faculty at UCG. The files relate to fund raising efforts in the U.S., academic and administrative development for a Human Rights Centre and other such related issues.

File includes printed souvenir booklets from Irish Air Corps 60th Anniversary Commemorations at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, Dublin, 4 Sep 1982; invitation and delegate card for said event; Also numerous letters and articles sent to the press by Michael Rynne and Etienne Rynne regarding the aviator James FitzMaurice. Etienne Rynne was co-organiser of the conference.
