File 1 includes a report on the double-armed cross, detailing the history and archaeological examination of the cross by Peter Harbison; (noted to be a contribution to the North Munster Journal); numerous letters between Harbison and Rynne discussing the research on the cross (and also letters between Rynne and members of the Cornish Archaeological Association, Cornwall). Manuscript research notes on landscape features of Killinaboy.
File 2 includes a number of black and white photographic prints of the double-armed cross at Killinaboy and also of a number of similar and related sites and objects, such as at Ardmore, Co. Waterford and Limoges, Kilkenny west, Co. Westmeath.

The Report was seen as a response to the New Ireland Forum Report. The Kilbrandon Report recommended that Northern Ireland should be governed by a five member Executive and that one of the members should be an Irish government minister.
