              Letter from Wynne Jones to C. T. Morris referring to an article by John Horgan. Discusses his experience in West Africa where he worked for a number of years, and talks about the number of languages in use there. Discusses the quality of education received by a Leaving Certificate student under current policy. Talks about the Belgian case, which the author sees as being a good comparison, and mentions Ireland's imminent membership of the E.E.C.

              Copy letter from the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Language Freedom Movement [E.P. D'Alton], sent to Mr. Cleary (note at bottom indicates the letter was also sent to Mary Cronin and Rory Broderick, appealing to them to reconsider their decision to resign. Letter signed by Cleary, Cronin, and Broderick outlining their reasons for the resignation. Separate letter from Mary Cronin thanking Mr. D'Alton for his original letter, and hoping they may still resolve their differences.

              Copy letter from Maureen Ahearn to Christopher T. Morris entitled Ahascragh and Castletown Conyers. Encloses a copy of a letter she received from a parent in Ahascragh. The letter is marked 'not to be quoted under any circumstances'. Includes an update on the situation in the school there. In her letter to C. T. Morris, Ms. Ahearn says she has heard from a parent in Castletown who says the situation there is largely the same. Their experience is at odds with what the Irish Association of Civil Liberties were told during their interview with the Assistant Secretary of the Department of Education.

              Letter from Joan O'Brien, President of the Language Freedom Movement to Christopher [Morris] regarding a decision made at the 1972 AGM of the LFM at which it was decided to prepare a comprehensive submission to the Government about the LFM. The letter is titled: 'Re: Submission to the Council of Ireland'. It is hoped to publish the report in time for the first anniversary of the taking of office of the National Coalition Government. Some headings are included, and Ms. O'Brien requests written submissions relating to them. She also asks for his thoughts on some issues relating to the form and content of the submission.
