Photocopy of handwritten letter from M[ichael Oatley], Salisbury, Zimbabwe, to Brendan Duddy, mostly about family and personal matters. Initially, however, commenting on a matter he discussed with Duddy; he had wished to set something up before leaving but since then the weather and people's minds have changed; finding that 'the structure' is wrong but that he cannot change things from where he is now. Encouraging Duddy to do what is within his grasp to do. (With a caption by [Éamonn Downey] referring to the original document.)
