Scope and content

The contents of folders and hanging folders personally maintained by Kevin Boyle, Françoise Hampson, Bill Bowring, Aisling Reidy, and Tony Fisher pertaining to individual Kurdish Litigation Project cases. These small folders were donated by the Boyle estate, as opposed to the larger casefiles organised in binders donated by the Hampson estate (A44/43/1). The sub-series is arranged into 101 files, with each file pertaining to a particular applicant's case in alphabetical order by surname. While there is crossover with the cases documented in A44/43/1, this sub-series also includes materials pertaining to applications to the European Commission of Human Rights that were ultimately not litigated by the Essex team but by the Kurdish Human Rights Project or the Diyarbakır team directly, became inactive, or which were not ultimately not pursued with the Commission. The remainder of Boyle's materials pertaining to the Kurdish Litigation Project and the Kurdish Human Rights Project are found in A44/25/12.
