Patrick McCarthy, nephew of the author, provided E.R.R. Green, future collaborator of Kerby A. Miller, with a copy of the transcript of the letter per McCarthy's letter of 10 June 1961. Green later provided the copy to Miller. The original transcript is held in PRONI [reference number D3561/A/18].
